Welcome to my teaching blog, as written by me :)

I am a 30-something year old teacher, writer and mum. I work as an English teacher and mentor in a secondary school. I work closely with trainees and ECTs, helping them through their early career journey. I hope that all the trainees and ECTs I work with see what amazing educators they are, and why they are fantastic in their roles.

With my blog, my goal is to offer honest and relatable advice and reviews about all things teaching, and anything else I find along the way. I’m not an expert, but I found that in the early days of my teaching career, particularly my training and NQT years, I struggled to find advice and support that was easily accessible, relatable to my current position and that I could read without it eating into my precious limited time.

I use this blog as platform for myself and others to share our experiences and offer relatable everyday advice on teaching, training,  CPD, helpful tips and anything else I find interesting :)
